Hi, can anyone help, I've been searching here and haven't found any mention of the issue we have, If it is already in a post please feel free to tell me which one... anyway...
the issue is in a 1998 v6 prado, the manual engage type model, as in no electronic switch, the lock mechanism is engaging randomly, without any lever movement, dash light doesn't come on but we have found and lead unplugged, so hopefully the light issue is fixed, but wanting to know what could be causing the lock to self engage. Is there an adjustment that may be set to fine allowing it to slip into lock to easily?
