I've just noticed I have a fuel leak coming from part that connects to the top of the injector on my 1998 Prado it wiggles when ibtouch it and sprays fuel out it is missfiring quite bad and when ibtouch that connector and the fuel spirts out the car starts to die how hard/easy would it be to fix

The plenum chambers must be removed to service the fuel rails and injectors. You can leave the throttle body still plumbed in.

Either severe over-fueling running rich or else a lack of spark, but the latter would have a noticeable misfire.
If running rich, you might look at the OBD1 scanner diagnostics threads on this forum before wasting money swapping sensors, injectors and other parts.
Alternatively, since you have just bought it then change the oil as the previous owner may have only used it for short journeys with lots of cold starts.

For about $25 of electronic components and by following the instructions in this link https://www.pradopoint.com.au/forum/...i-tdcl-vs-mobd you can hook up your laptop to scan the engine diagnostics in realtime.
The 90 series ecu gives pretty basic but useful diagnostics. For example, you can see if the left or right bank of injectors is running rich and whether your MAF is responding to your throttle inputs.
Helps track down the culprit without resorting to massive parts swapping.
