  • Update to engine + a lot more

I need to change timingbelt, waterpump, thermostat, front wheel bearings, fanbelt and a chip in the windscreen.

I'm currently in Byron Bay but will be going south on Monday towards melbourne/Sydney - my question is about where I should get the parts changed?

Can't see anything about the timingbelt being changed previously and none of the owners before, who had it between 270k to 330k, had it replaced.
Haven't seen the timingbelt light yet but that doesn't confirm that the belt actually has been changed.
Had a look throughout the servicebook and the engine bay/whole car basically but can't find any sticker or marking.

I'm not mechanically minded, same for my friend who I bought the car with, so a mechanic will be needed.

Would it be better to buy all the parts myself and just pay the guy for Labour OR is it easier to pay him for everything?

Also would anyone have any idea how much it would go for?

    Cheers

    /Andreas.V
