electric brake kit

Anyone got any advice on an electric brake kit for towing vans or big trailers?

We are buying a medium sized van and it has electric brakes so we need to fit a kit to our 2001 GXL.

Good experiences, bad experiences. What unit to get? I plan to get a pro to fit it, not messing with that sort of stuff myself. I'll stick to draining diffs and gearboxes.

I just fitted another Hayman Reese thing, cost about $95.
First one lasted for years and then just died.
Only bought the H/R. so it would be a straight plug in swap but they altered the plug in the interim so nothing was easy.
Could have bought the Chinese copy for $45.

Go the redarc tow pro elite you wont regret it.
There compact and neat looking

I have a Hayman & Reece type unit.
Easy to fit (1hr), and was told they are the best due to the pendulum type internal workings that give the most accurate use.
Mine is fitted where the ash tray was for a perfect fit.

The Elite is also pendulum type and remote mount for cleaner look but not cheap
