  • Dobinson Springs

Hi Fellas. Just went through the process of fitting Dobi Springs to my 2000 Diesel Prado. The Previous owner had fitted some yellow aftermarket springs which had sagged to within 10mm of the rubber bump stops. I fitted the ones listed for my Prado and the front looked damn rediculous! it was around 50mm higher than the rear. The camber looked like a cartoon job. The dealer suggested it would settle but I had my doubts. After a week I took it back and he agreed it wasnt going to move so we ordered a set of 3.4 V6 Prado front springs which were shorter and what a difference. The stance of the Prado is now correct (slightly higher at rear) and nearly 50mm lift. I have had no further grief since new tyres (265/70 x 16) on 8" mullin mags and wheel alignment. Is nice to drive on although firmer than std. Done around 8,000 km and hasn't settled a mm. Would recommend them to anyone. (Bit of a cow compressing the front ones to fit though - the rears were a doddle).
