  • Leaking CV boot after 2" Billie lift

Hi all, recently had a 50mm lift kit installed on the old 90 and have a slight oozing of grease from the inner CV joints. It's not a whole lot of grease but I don't want to lose much more from the boots or they'll need a regrease. Anyone know an easy way to retighten the inner CV boot clamps?

Not re-tighten, but you could put a cable tie over it to help a little. Don’t worry too much about a slight cv boot leak. They can leak for 12 months plus & still have a tonne of grease inside. No big deal. You’ll get ample warning when there’s not much lube left in it as it’ll make an audible sound. Aftermarket they’re a $110 part. Toyota is about 3 times that. No need to worry about it in the immediate future if it’s difficult to free up money for a replacement as it’s a very hardy part.
