  • Nolathane lower control arm bushes

    Good morning everyone,

I've been planning on replacing my rubber lower control arm bushes with PU ones, after the guy who did the last wheel alignment after replacing the tie rod ends mentioned to me the worn bushes. I ordered Nolathane and had a couple of hours on a Saturday planned for the job, and it didn't go quite as well as I was hoping for. Anyways, to cut a very long, painful and annoying story short: after pressing the bushes into the control arm, I wasn't able to get the arm back into its brackets on the car. The reason being is that the PU bushes along with the washers are quite a bit longer than the rubber bushes. There was no reasonable way of squeezing the control arm in. I got me a set of rubber bushes from Repco and put the control arm back in.

When comparing the Nolathane bushes to OEM, I also noticed that OEM front and rear are slightly different, whereas Nolathane are all the same. The part no. of the set I've used is 45505A, which according to Nolathane is the correct one.

Now, my question is if anyone has experienced the same?

    Keen to hear your feedback.

Have a great day and greetings from Brissie,

    Hendo
