2010 GTG ideas

Well i am depresssed after the fun of 2009 so where do we want to go for 2010 post up your ideas

After stopping there for our return trip the arkaroola and or wipena pount in Sth Flinders rangers SA may suit our needs

Alternativly base at Newcastle NSW and do day trips to stockton, Mt Sugarloaf, Barringtops loop through scone etc

Come on post up your ideas i need something to get me through the next 12 months

We are already into the planning stages of the 2010 GTG once we sort out some issues we can open up the discussion on it, we are expecting a much larger participation rate for 2010 as it will be on the east coast and therefore readily accessible to large populous areas.

2010 GTG will be a more formalised event due to the complexities involved with larger numbers of people and the fact that we are dealing with much stricter NPWS laws.

Yep that would be the one. We were lucky for the 2009 GTG that the rangers were approachable and helpful, however I don't believe we will get the same willingness from their counterparts in the East due to the abundance of bureaucracy that prevails to make everything more difficult.

Well, we west aussies might have to have our own GTG seeing as we come from "less populous areas".

That's ok because we can drive where we bloody well like - Kimberley, Pilbara, Ningaloo, Mid West/Murchison, South West, Goldfields, South Coast or anywhere in the great big orange bit in the middle.

There is a lot of nice places around The nations Capital ......... but Canberra would be a bit far for our WA members .......

As BushBasher said, We WA drivers can go just about any where we like, so keeping with the spirit of the GTG, all WA members unable to attend the 2010 in the east, should meet in aaahhhhhh Margret River for a chat and a few ales (wines, beer, spirits) :lol:

There is a lot of nice places around The nations Capital ......... but Canberra would be a bit far for our WA members .......

But what a cold place it is, we moved to Alice just to get warm after living there :lol:

I would love to go to a FNQ GTG but would prefer it not to be 2010 and would like a lot of notice date wise to plan things. Hopefully the 2010 one will have a rough location and date put out soon so I can try to fit all my plans together.

2010 just after Easter somewhere around NSW, VIC or SA would be perfect for me as things stand.
2011-2012 FNQ would get a vote from me
