The photo for this month in the current calender is one of mine and the file size was 1.20mb. It looks Ok to me hanging on the wall next to my desk.
Anyway, if 5mb is the go then no entries for me this year
Cheers Andrew

So a HDR iPhone photo should be plenty big enough then?

The size refers to file size - it's just an indicator that the file will have enough resolution to print. A 3mb iPhone JPEG when open in Photoshop has a pixel size of approximately 24mb. So that will actually print reasonably well.
The main issue we have had before is that the image uploaded is the highest version available and a 150kb JPEG just won't print.

Guest repliedOriginally posted by fido666 View PostI doubt it, 5 mega pixels is low resolution by today's standards. Most of the images taken with my real camera (not the phone) are upwards of 3 mb with many approaching 7 or 8 mb in size.
A higher resolution photo just means that it can be printed at a much larger size than those of a smaller resolution given the same DPI requirement. As the calendar isn't as large as a poster at a bus stop, then 5MP would be sufficient.
The size of a file isn't a measure of a photo's resolution.
