3rd Row retrofit in 150

Hi Guys,

Looking to purchase a used 150 and have been told that i can swap the 3rd row seats from a 7 seat wreck into a 5 seat??

I understand that i will need to get all the rear trimmings and a Mod Plate to get it registered in QLD but is this something that can be done should i be able to purchase the 5 seat for the right money??

I understand that 7 seat is a factory option for the GX (5 seater) so it is certainly possible, but...
I tried this recently with someone else (I wanting to swap my GXL 3rd row with a GX trims etc) but we gave up when the GXL trims were fouling on the GX 2nd row seat. We did not continue at that point so I can't say if it's just as simple as swapping the 3rd and 2nd row seats.
Also to consider, I don't think the GX floorpan has accommodation for the seat mounting bolts, and potentially the seatbelt mounting location in the rear pillar, so some potential drilling and welding on reinforced floorpan nuts.
If you can get a hold of the required parts for cheap then worth a shot, but I think if you are set on requiring 7 seats then probably easier to just buy a GXL, or some serious searching may turn up a GX with factory fitted 3rd row.
