What to look for in a Used 1GD-FTV MY15

Hi all,

Looking for advise on what to look for in a Used 1GD-FTV MY15.

105,000km
2.8lt diesel
10 x 10,000km regular Toyota servicing
ARB deluxe bull bar and dual wheel carrier

looks very clean

Obviously a bad year to buy with no replies

DPF Issues seem to plague these models, I'd be checking if it's been replaced and if they've had any grief with it since. Not sure what the warranty would be looking like at this stage, but it may well have run out so you could be on your own if it shits itself again (and they're not cheap to replace).

I guess the normal things like checking underneath to see if it's been offroad (Guessing by those mods it probably has, but just see how much abuse its copped)- Get it up on a hoist if you can and inspect the bash plates for any massive hits. I'm not a mechanic or anything so there's probably better advice on here- I took my car around to my local mechanic before I purchased it and got him to check it over (I was lucky in that he'd also serviced the car for the past few years so was pretty confident it would be fine). If you don't have a mechanic use an RACQ (or whatever your state equilivant is) to look at it, the dollars you pay them can be returned 10 fold if you avoid paying for someone elses problem.
