  • What can I realistically sell for?

2000 white VX, 200k km, nil mechanical issues. In WA. What could I realistically sell this car for? We only have 4 of these listed on carsales right now.

Looking on carsales, the 2000 Prado has 37 for sale between $21k and $1600. Prado's around 200k km vary between $7k and $15k. Compare all of them, not just the VX.

If your Prado is in excellent condition, no damage, excellent paint, upholstery, windows etc and good quality accessories like bullbars, roof racks, interior accessories then should be able to head up to the higher range. If it is standard and some paint or panel damage and no accessories then it will be more difficult to sell so the price a bit lower.

If yours is like this one, it might be easy to sell at a good price than a standard version: https://www.carsales.com.au/private/...5399985/?Cr=32

Hi there i am a new member, i have a 2003 prado 4litre on dual fuel, and has only 129000 kms on the clock. I have had it for over 10 years and i run my own mechanical workshop. I do have a 2 and a half inch lift kit with TJM snorkel and engine and transmission guards. It is in show room condition.
I do tow a 17 series Jayco and have no problem towing except for slowing down on climbing hills.
My question is should i think in terms of updating to a 150 series diesel , or stick with the 120 series.

I do all my own work on my KZJ95 and I will not be upgrading unless it is written off or I can't find diesel anymore. My .02, keep it; just do what I do and stock up on parts as you see them cheap, eg full Toyota aircon system as supplied to dealer for new fitting: $200, two genuine top balljoints $20. We should be able to source Prado parts long after the latest bunch of 4WDs are loooong gone. No F'in computers!!!
