Great forum with plenty of info for a soon to be first time Prado owner.

We ordered a VX back in May with a requirement for earlier August delivery due to a garage reno. When I checked on the ETA a few weeks ago I got told ours was subject to a model change, but no specifics on what was going to change. I can see this mentioned in a few posts but no definite or comprehensive list. I was curious if anyone had one from their dealer yet?

I'll share one if I can manage to get a list myself.

Hi,

The model change was from June build and will be available for sale after 12th July. If you check out the link it shows what is now included in the June Build. I believe the only change is the Manual DPF switch.. but I could be wrong.

Thanks for head up they'd updated the spec sheet

I had a saved PDF of the previous spec sheet so did some “tab swapping” to compare back to back.
You guys have missed a huge difference...

Heated and retractable side view mirrors standard on all models (previously excluded GX manual)

Oh and the Optional Flat tailgate pack adds Glass hatch and provides a 60kg weight reduction aka less fuel

I want to confirm the internal Toyota order number. There are two options 1 and 2. Any idea what the internal Toyota code is for the Flatgate version?

Mines a may build, picked up 2 weeks ago, so no burn switch and normal tailgate and it’s the same Alt Model No if that helps.

Glad I've eventually got around to registering for this site as some of the topics quite good to read and take on board. Only got my new Prado in January and love it. Was undecided at first until it was pointed out the increased towing capability, as just bought a larger caravan. However, if it was available at the time I would have considered the split flat tailgate just for ease of access, dog etc. and hitching up the van. Overcome this by fitting the DO35 Hitch we rate anyway so all good.

You loose the rear tank with the flat gate option and are only left with a small fuel capacity

Euro 6 emission legislation came into effect around then I recall. Thus you will have the Adblue tank as well.
