Trade-in with or without accessories

Hi all,
It has come time to trade-in the old girl and buy my first ever brand new car.
Currently it is just getting to the age and km where every service is costing more and more and there is always a little doubt in my mind as to its ongoing reliability. There is no doubt that the car will 'run' for another 100,000km but I'm not willing to accept the oil leaks and weird noises that it will make to get there.
I'm looking at purchasing a 2019 GXL Prado and trading-in my old car.
The question I have is what are people's experiences with trading a car in with accessories? Is it worth me taking things off before trade-in such as:
- drawers
- awning
- trans cooler
- amts compressor/filter mount (With compressor and filter). I'm guessing this still fits the 2.8?

Would the trade-in value be affected much without these items? What are others experiences.

Take them off, sell them 2nd hand if they don't fit the new one. They might add value to the dealers sell price but not your trade in value.

what's your car? 120 150 90 ? petrol, diesel? km? auto manual?
what are your extra's
the dealer is going to give you stuff all extra for the parts in it
guys might want the stuff if your interested

your dealer will most likely just wholesale it off as they want std cars low km 1 owners to keep on the bigger yards
go in and get them to give you a trade in price first at another dealer to get the idea
then see if you can sell private for some more

So I finally heard back from the dealer (those who have bought a car in Alice know which dealer I'm talking about) and he has told me that the accessories will increase the value, but by nowhere near the parts resale or price of them. AKA I will get more for the car but certainly not anything significant.
Car is a 2010 GXL KDJ150R with 205,000km auto. I'd call it 7/10 condition (paint fade on bonnet and guard).

- 60w LED bar
- Aux trans cooler**
- Dual battery utilising SBI12
- 2nd fuel filter**

- Dual USB outlets front
- Black duck seat covers**
- Dynamat throughout cabin
- Drifta drawers**
- USB/Anderson/Cig plug power box
- ARB deluxe roof rack
- 2.5m ARB Awning**
- LED camp lights
- LRA 132L replacement tank (227L total capacity)
- OME suspension 200kg load
- Superpro adjustable upper control arms

That's all i can remember for now.

mate of mine checked the pricing the the big PK dealer and got a way better price in adelaide for the same car
just saying
if you were in Adelaide some time i would help you out by swapping out some of those parts + some $ (wink wink) !!

it is a little bit cheaper up here. Unfortunately you can't spend the money if the salesperson doesn't call you back...

Hi Jimmy C, I am in Alice and I bought a new 2018 Prado GXL from PK in October. I got a reasonable deal, within the time constraints I had.

Anyway, I am going to order some drawers, roof racks and dual battery setup in the coming week to install into the Prado.So if you are looking to sell your items quickly, I would be interested if the price and condition is fair.
