    Thanks for that quick reply. Just so I'm sure I understand, we're talking about the email notifications, not the cwt online tracking facility? There were two emails you never received, or did you miss seeing the notifications online in apps/cwt (which I don't have access to), or were they just not there?

    Three weeks seems incredibly fast from starting production to arriving. That is what you were saying? If my delivery date actually holds then that would be a bit over 6 weeks.

      So I was never given the online portal login nor even knew it existed till a couple of posts ago.
      Ive been relying on email notifications
      my time line runs
      24-2-21 order entered
      23-4-21 production confirmed
      14-5-21 production commenced
      18-6-21 arrived at dealer

        Thank you Coleman85, that was very, very helpful.

        Because it gave me the clue to crack the puzzle. I'm running about 2 weeks behind you at each stage. So on the strength of that I contacted my dealer and was told that our Kakadu is on track to arrive at the dealer at the end of next week, 2 July, and presumably be ready for collection early the following week, pretty close to the ETA of 5 July. So further to my post 29 above, our schedule is now:

        07 Apr: Ordered
        13 Apr: Email from Toyota confirming order
        28 Apr: Email from Toyota saying we're next in line to be built
        28 Apr: SMS from dealer saying the ETA is 5 July
        22 May: Email from Toyota saying build has commenced.
        02 July: Due to arrive at dealer
        05 July: ETA (may end up a day or two late)

        I'm also getting pumped, but now only have two weeks rather than four in order to sell the old vehicle.

        I'm really puzzled about what happened to Tow2go's order, which leaves a bad taste in my mouth despite all the excitement. I'd be asking some hard questions of my dealer if it were me, as it seems like something happened to his order.

        EDIT: Actually I misread the dates. We ordered over a month after you and came close to catching up. Out production started only a week after you. So clearly the queue is not a first-in-best-dressed affair. There must be some batching of production.

          From what I was told, each dealer has an alotment, which he fills and then gets sent, which maybe why mine sat for a period and then began to move. I ordered mine through a local country dealer. So by no means a big city

            Same. I also went to a (distant) country dealer, but one who sells a lot of them and who offered a pretty aggressive discount. I may have just got lucky with my timing, in that my rapid delivery may have just been because that dealer's allotment at that time was nearly full when I ordered. Perhaps Tow2go just missed one.

            P.s. You'd expect dealers who sell more to get more allotments, and to fill them faster.

                22 January: placed order.
                3 March: email “…your vehicle order is submitted with Toyota’s production team and we are currently awaiting for them to confirm when it will be matched and when it is going to be placed into the build process. At present we don’t have confirmation of your vehicle being allocated to go into build.
                26 March: email “At present we don’t have confirmation of your vehicle being allocated to go into build.” “Currently the Toyota Motor Corporation Australia are experiencing significant delays and a shortage in availability of new vehicle stock…”
                22 April: email “Unfortunately, we currently don’t have confirmation of your vehicle being matched and allocated to go into build.”
                26 May: email “The Toyota production team have matched your vehicle to the build allocation and your new vehicle has been allocated and confirmed for build in the June production…” “This means that we will anticipate a late July arrival …”

                  Which spec upgrade? Mine is due at the dealer in ten days and I've been told that it will still have the 18" wheels. I assume Coleman85 has been told the same. We both could get a nasty surprise, but my dealer seems to know what is going on, so I doubt it.

                    I didn’t receive confirmation that my vehicle had been ‘allocated for build’ until May

                      Ordered a VX at the beginning of January, finally got confirmation this morning that the vehicle is currently being loaded for delivery to the dealer and should be available for pickup next Thurs / Fri. Looks like delivery will be Wednesday at the latest now.

                            Wow rov that seems like the fastest turn around ive seen so far congrats on that mate.
                            As mentioned before alot of us have been waiting for a long time for our prados.

                                Good for Rov. Maybe the dealer delivery pathway had a car with the same matching specs coming for an earlier customer and that earlier arrangement fell through for some reason. So Rov got his car early. Son in law had a new Ranger become available a few weeks early because another customer's finance fell through and could not take the car.
