Ordered GXL with leather in February and told 6 to 7 months. In Melbourne.

Hi everybody.
Mate of mine ordered Prado GXL on 11/10/21 and picked it up on last day of Feb. I ordered mine on 3/11/21 and according to the dealer my car will be built in April. It is a big difference in waiting time. I have no clue why. Has anybody heard anything about new reasons of delays (covid is an old one).
Anybody heard anything about possible Prado minor updates?

p.s. Of course that's assuming it's not the same dealer. And even if it is, according to the theory your mate may have just snuck in at the end of one allotment and you were at the beginning of a new one.

I have ordered my Gxl in November. Today I was told that production month will be June. Originally it was January and every month it was moved for the next month. Has anybody heard anything about minor prado updates coming in July?

The car was ordered in Jarvis Toyota, Adelaide. with no extras.

Hi guys, new here. Ordered VX two weeks ago, got email next day showing a production date of June. I had advice from both Toyota and the dealer the day after ordering. I was told to expect the production date to move out over time. The June date was the earliest date but unlikely. Hope this helps.

It is 20/05/2022 today - so far no update on my order yet.

Finally some progress on our GX. Ordered in July and due to be delivered next week. Might take the cake for the longest wait yet

30/7/21 - Order placed
4/8/21 - Confirmation email saying it's officially been ordered
15/10/21 - Link to order tracking system provided on request
During this period the tracking system generally showed 'planned for production' for the next month but kept moving back a month until we moved to 'scheduled for production'
29/3/22 - Scheduled for production in April
14/4/22 - In production
15/4/22 - VIN and engine number added to tracking system
Late April - Being shipped
4/5/22 - Arrived in port, being prepared for transport to the dealer
13/5 - In transit to dealership, arrived at dealership. Being prepared for pickup
18/5 - Pre-purchase inspection completed, delivery arranged for 24/5/22
