I have an order in for a Kakadu and the build has just started. Having placed the order on the basis of the latest (Mar 2021) spec sheet, I noticed that the kerb weight in the March 2021 Prado spec sheet is lower than in the Dec 2020 sheet: See

I did a little analysis of the difference in kerb weights (for the tyre-on-tailgate option):
These are quite significant reductions in kerb weight for the VX and Kakadu. I've contacted both my dealer and Toyota to verify that the lower, later numbers are correct, and to question where the weight reduction came from. Another thread mentions the switch to 19" wheels, but I can't see how that change would save that much weight, and besides, it doesn't explain the VX / Kakadu difference, nor why there's still a (much smaller) reduction for the GXL. The thing that puzzles me is why put our a spec sheet with just these weight changes plus a few trivial corrected typos if there wasn't a weight change?
Has anyone else noticed this change, which implies a significantly increased payload for the VX and Kakadu?
