These are the perfect type of marketing object. You make a product with a marketing claim that is difficult to disprove (ie may minimise risks, may help prevent crashes, may do nothing) and price it at a relatively low price that most people will think - what the heck, for $5 or $10 bucks I'm happy to give it a go. In other words, people are happy to lose their cash as they have no real expectation of success.

If a car with one fitted never hits a roo - it works! If it does hit a roo - it was bad luck: maybe the roo was deaf. :shock:
