My parents bought my beloved Prado and I've moved onto something different (still prefer Prado). We're looking at doing a camping trip later this year over to Fraser and the folks want to drag their camper over there. I've been to Fraser a couple of times and much prefer the Kingfisher Bay Resort barge in and out of Hervey Bay. My concern is that I don't remember how steep the hill on the track back into the resort is. I remember the sand leading up to it can be powdery in the hot afternoon sun, but that's not a major concern with good tyre pressure. The hill is easy without a camper, but I just want to be sure that a 2013 Prado 150 diesel AT can do it without much risk. Pretty sure it can, but I'd rather have confirmation from someone who has done it. Thanks!

I have towed a 2.5 tonne off road van on Fraser, I would not recommend accessing via Kingfisher as the climb in/out of Kingfisher then the track to the ocean beach can get very soft, especially this time of year. Depending where your coming from catching the barge at Inskip Point then running up the beach would I believe be a better option.

The hill out of Kingfisher Bay is now bitumen all the way to the crest of the hill at the Dingo fence. You will only need to worry about returning to Kingfisher.

Been a while since I was there so cant comment on current track conditions.
i think the Prado could do it as the hill in has always been easier then coming out.
