SS185HF Safari snorkel to fit a 96 prado?

Does a SS185HF safari snorkel fit on the 96 models?, they have the same 5VZ-FE 3.4L petrol engine as the 97 but the safari thing says: (12/97 to 12/02)

So what about 96 models? do they still fit? does anyone have the SS185HF snorkel on their 96 5VZ-FE 3.4L petrol engine? or does anyone know anybody with a 96 who has the snorkel?
