How Long Before The Fine Turns Up In The Mail

After travelling for some distance without CC and no problems with other traffic, then CC gets turned on, it sends out a signal for some clown to overtake me then slow down making me have to rake back the speed or put the foot down to get past them and resume the CC only for it to start all over again with some other clown. Then I switch the bloody thing off in frustration, which stops the signal and everyone else then leaves me alone.

When I saw the GPS flashinh 111/100 I was really close to him. I was coming up behind him and saw the camera gear plain as day looking at the front of my car through the rear window of the territory. When I passed/beside him I was under 100 but just prior I wasnt. Im sure these get the front of the car, maybe both ?? I think when they had the first of them they use to have the cameras on passengers side of the front windscreen aiming towards the rear of the car. But who ever was inside also had a sun shade up across the front windscreen and having a snooze in the drivers seat, with what looked to be like a hat over their head. I noticed all this the second time I went past him at 40k lol after I had done the uturn. I wish it took the back of the car but Im 99% sure they dont. Same as the fixed camera on the F3 at the to of Ourimbah hill before going down on the flat. It now catches you coming towards it, they have turned the camera around and this is due now to infar red flash system, so obviously the old white flash would blind you. I thought there was a privacy law about taking the front of the car ?? sure there use to be but not now obviously... Cheers Steve

Just remembered, you maybe lucky. I think they do take pictures of the rear of the speeding vehicles, motor bikes don't have front number plates.

If you didn't see the bright flash then you didn't get nabbed. Even in full sunlight, if the camera is facing the front of the cars you will still clearly see the flash. You might have been lucky!

Sold a car recently (jan) with out rwc, anyways the new owner got a speeding fine 10kms over from the traffic cops, took aprox 2weeks from the snaps. My last fine back in 2003 took 1 month from the snap lol...

We will wait and see Serotonin, Im sure I got done. I cant imagine them having a 11k leeway especially with them as there out for the $$ not the safety (not run by the coppers who at least are not just there for the $$). I just looked up the stats and if I have the correct area then they are there for plain revenue, but before passing judgement on that I will wait and see when I get it and make sure then I will comment.Just read up on them, and they use an infared flash system, can get you either way (cover 6 lanes and can get you either way from sitting in the one spot) and have video as well if need be. Yeah. from what Ive heard can take upto about 2 to 3 weeks and also as monday was a public holiday would have been no mail or probably anybody in the branch to process any fines more then likely. Funny thing today I checked the post as soon as I got home and I just saw through the clear window of the envelope sherriff and Parramatta, and thought yep its here, Opened it up and it was for dury duty lol, pain in the butt........cheers Steve

Not necessarily so - newer speed cameras use an infra red flash so you don't get distracted by it. Because you won't see the flash it will leave you guessing about whether you got pinged until the infringement arrives in the post.

Na mate nothing yet, BUT they say up to 3 weeks and some are saying even 4, so Im still looking at the next two weeks. Been checking the bloody mail box as soon as I get home every day waiting for it. Wife keeps saying its gunna come !! stop stressing over it. I just hate the waiting. If I didnt get cought it would be a bloody amazing but to be honest Im expecting early next week. Cant see how I would have possibly got out of it. To higher speed (111 in 110, going by GPS) there write in front of me, double point weekend, and not run by the police department so would be minimal leeway. Ah well the waiting game continues. Dont worry will let you know the moment I get it..........Cheers Steve
