Light Force Covers

Can anyone explain the reason for different coloured covers for these lights ?? I currently have the two clear covers which are just a pencil beam but I want to change one of the covers over to a spread as I had on my old IPF's. (the IPF's were actually two different lights not just a cover changing the beam). I have just been doing a google and there are all these different colours to suit my lights eg, red, a bluey colour, orange, yellow and clear. Id prefer just to keep clear. I don't mind the bluey ones but unless the others are for a special purpose I don't want the coloured ones unless they are what you need for the different beams required ???....Cheers Steve

And here's an explanation of yellow lights which shows the principles behind the covers. Different lenses remove different wavelengths and give different effects.

Stick to the clear ones Steve, going to the blue does change the wavelength of the light, which is fine in dry conditions, but in the wet you will have less light as the wet road soaks up more light in that wavelength.

Pretty sure if you drive around in traffic with your rose lightforces turned on there will be plenty of road rage, but I can definitely see the benefits for clearing queues at maccas!

I have blue in pencil and spread on atm cause I like the white light they give vs the more yellow from the clears. Might have to put the clears back on when it rain next and see what is better. Red is good for shooting, not sure how it would work on roos in the middle of the road
