  • Love the Flinders Ranges

This pic is the most frequently taken. This was in May this year. Going back Sept/Oct for 2 weeks to explore more. Love it.

Cool. We're heading down there in Sept/Oct as well - but only for a little over a week. I'm looking forward to seeing it for the first time.

Top spot the Flinders, here are a few pictures from a little side trip we did through the Flinders on the way back from the Simpson a couple of weeks ago.

      Cheers Andrew

Looks totally different now Andrew given some winter rain and heading into Spring. This is the season we wanted to see it in so the reason for going back and staying longer.

Yeah it was very green, surprisingly so compared to previous visits.

Here are some other shots from previous trips.

We have only been to the Flinders twice this year, surely we must be due another visit

            Cheer Andrew

Been there, and will go back again.

Some Aussies will travel all over the world, but will never visit their own back yard to see these sights.

Just got home from trip to Flinders. Hawker to Wilpena then stay at Blinman.
Next day, Glass's Gorge to Moolooloo. Then Moolooloo thru Parachilna Gorge to Parachilna.
Parachilna to Leigh Creek on the new road, then back to Beltana on old road and catch up with friends at Moorillah.
Moorillah to Parachilna and have a Fargher Lager with old mate Ross Fargher.
Back to Blinman via Para Gorge. Next day at Wilpena.
Top trip. 22deg and blue skies.
                  Gods country.

How true, Yowie. We did the Flinders last November for the first time - absolutely spectacular! Reminded us a lot of the Rockies & Grand Canyon - blame it on SA Tourism but I don't understand why more people don't go there!
