Hello everyone, This is a post about covering over lettering from vinyl awnings to give the appearance of it being removed. It is impossible to remove the printing without damaging it and making it look worse, but I have found a solution that has been quite successful for me if anyone is interested. I don't like advertising for companies after I have spent my money on a product, and I don't think I should then have to drive around a mobile billboard. My Supercheap Auto Ridge Ryder awning had large white letters which stood out like dogs........ears. I purchased this vinyl paint from Supercheap Auto $15 (make sure it's the Flat Black) taped off the area and gave it 2 coats. It's was a pretty good result. Should work the same on the Kings awnings and other brands like XTM from BCF. Good luck everyone, or you can just ignore my ramblings. Just thought I would put it out on PP for reference for everyone. Cheers

Thanks for the heads up brother, I just removed my KINGS awning and sprayed the whole unit with the above mentioned product. Looks so much better IMHO.4 Photos150 GXL - ARB bar, Winch, 9" spots, rhino rack, 32" LED bar, Snorkel, 2" lift, AT's, Dual batts, UHF, 40L fridge, KAON cargo barrier - rear door table

I had success with removal of the printed KINGS branded awning.
I think I ended up using either turps or eucalyptus oil. on a cloth/ multiple clothes. It required a little patience as the print ink smudged really bad to start off with.
After a few clean rags and 20mins work it was all removed with no sign of it ever being there.
Cost = $0.
(No evidence of branding ever being there).Last edited by Brendos 150; 16-02-2019, 08:50 PM.
