I was looking at Falken AT3W in 265/65R17 116 for a bit over $200ea. Heard good things about them. Especially if going to the snow.

My Cooper AT3s LT are at 40000km and still have 8mm of tread on all 5 . Several big outback trips included: A complete circumnavigation of the Simpson doing all major tracks in 1 trip in 2018, and The Anne Beadell in 2019. These trips obviously include all of the crap, stoney, shaley roads all around the desert. No punctures, no balance issues, very little chipping especially compared to the BFGs I have run for 20 odd years, no cracks between the treads as happens with BFGs at this KM and useage. Much quieter than the BFGs especially at this kms. No issues in the wet even at this kms where the bfgs tended to become dodgy.265/65/17 size [ie standard]. I run 38 psi loaded on hwy, 32-34 psi around town, 26-28 psi HOT on dirt, 16psi HOT in the desert. Hope this helps.
