I will need roof racks so I will be getting a roof rack/platform or the like. Did a quick google search and found Rackless for Prado 150 series.

I recently placed an order for the VX with the new 150kw motor. Got it for 68k but that was with a fleet buying discount. A friend purchased on back in June when they were very keen to move them with the old motor for 69k VX as well. They are waiting for new stock at the moment so deals might not be as easy to come across but I know they will easily move them for $75k.

Mainly went the VX for the refrigerated centre console and the front parking sensors plus 360 cameras. Toyota system isn’t the best but that’s how I sold the VX for myself. I cross shopped against the new defender which is a nicer car all round but couldn’t get one for under $97k with the diesel in S trim and now you have to wait till feb next year for anymore diesel stock unless your lucky or grab a demonstrator.

Are you getting the Fleet Discount through a Novated Lease? That is a steal at $68k for a VX... I purchase a GXL Prem Graphite with towbar in 2019 for $65k. A family member is in the market for the updated 150kw GXL Prem and been priced as $71k...

I am jelly that it comes with extra 20kw, 50nm and ultimately the better infotainment of apple and android car play.

Hi guys,
looking to get my first prado soon and am keen to know what people are paying for the updated prado. I got my first quote yesterday for a vx $75k without extras and about $1800 for tow bar and roof tray. I feel like it’s difficult to negotiate at the moment. Thoughts are welcome?

I believe stocks are low at the moment and dealers would be reluctant to discount heavily on the 150kw Prado. I believe there will be more stock available 1st Qtr 2021... this is my opinion.

Pulled the trigger yesterday, arrives late Nov! VX. Was a funny conversation with the after sales specialist about paint protection but eventually she got the point and left me alone!

Yes when I said if Toyota paint is that poor I need an aftermarket treatment to keep it looking good why am I buying a $70,000 plus Toyota then, maybe I should reconsider.
The aftermarket sales person didn’t know what say.

Hey all, drifted away from the Prado (had 90, 120) for a few cars and now have seen the light and am coming back to get a new one!!! Had a mate who just got a VX in Peacock Black for $74300.

Quick few questions for those here who know more than me (most of you):

Two things I really 'need' are Leather Seats and good stereo - so it seems the VX is the one I am looking at.... unless you can get the better stereo on the GXL? Also, not looking after market for stereo as too much of an effort!

Will be getting fleet through work but am also keen to get mods done before I take delivery - has anyone here had mods to the new model yet?

You can get the premium leather pack on the GXL for about $3400, to my knowledge the stereo is the same, but the VX has more speakers - have a look at the website, that should specify it. How important those extra speakers are is up to you..

The mods will be the same as the 2019 model, as the exterior hasn’t changed. Mine is going in on Wednesday to have the goodies installed, but installer raised no issues about the new model.
Be careful about adding it at delivery, as if you include it in the new car it would count towards luxury car tax, so better to do it afterwards.

Similar to the Luxury Car Tax, in QLD, though, on any car you also pay Stamp Duty on any accessories fitted in the purchase price.
