Grease points 95 series

Hello ! (Sorry English is not my main language)

I just bought a 2002 VZJ95 Prado and I was wondering about the grease points. I have identified 7 grease nipples. However, I heard somewhere that there were 8 on the 95 series. Is this correct or did I miss one?

I searched a lot of forums, but there is info only on the land cruiser 100 and the 90 but not for the 95.

There was only 7 that I could find on my 1998 model. Greased them every service from 132,000km when I bought the car until 400,000km when I got rid of it. Never had any issues with the drive shaft components over that time.

The amount of grease nipples on a vehicle can vary unless its new as a previous owner could of replaced a greaseable component with a non greaseable component or replace non greaseable with greaseable.
I would be looking at the universal joints at front and rear of drive shafts and slip joints on drive shafts and also around your steering components. For eg.. tie rod end l/h and r/h upper and lower ball joints and also your steering stops. Hope this helps.

If the OP has only found 7, my guess is that he’s missed the centre one of the double carden joint at top end of rear shaft.
There’s one on each universal but the double carden also has that centre one.
Brings the total to 8 all up.
