120 series petrol oil pickup sump gasket

Hi all. Thinking of yanking off the oil pickup sump to see if the pickup is clogged as there's a bit of a rattle on startup like oil's not getting where it should. Keen to know if anyone can tell of the gasket in these photos is non-factory. The goop looks black but I thought this was grey from the factory.
