so far i find the map screen colours washed out even after adjustment also i have trouble reading the street names as they are so small. Also i have noticed a bit more reflections from on the screen making a tad harder to see.
I agree... I liked the screen on the earlier model better.

I should also add it will work on version 8.4 as well as 8.3.
Since I upgraded this afternoon, iGo mysteriosly crashed and restarted, - the first time I have seen that happen. I hope its an isolated issue otherwise Ill upgrade to version 8.4 and see how it goes.
Out of interest I put the new maps on the wifes navigator. It runs version 8.0.0.35380 with R17 maps, When I booted up it comes up with "Your maps are out of date" and locks up.
Reverted to the R16 maps and it runs as normal.

Have just removed the original tpo9x1 and replaced it with the hi /res model, so far i find the map screen colours washed out even after adjustment also i have trouble reading the street names as they are so small. Also i have noticed a bit more reflections from on the screen making a tad harder to see. The radio seems better, as reception is clearer the new menu is good too.Has any one tried the new program matt has, for this model. The plugs at the back of the unit are a bit better designed with one pointing up so not to hit on the cross bar. I found it went in a bit easier this time, The dvd picture does not appear much better even after fine tuning. I think this model has the tv tuner built in , as it has frequ on the tv page. I dont live close to the transmitter to try it out, i have a dvb connected to the aux transfered from the first tpo9x1. It has only been in for two days, any one else have a comment on the new model. its still a good unit maybe i am too fussy this makes gps number 3 and two spares . Randy

I was under the impression there was not going to be any further map updates for iGo software in Australia.

The latest release is out, R17. I have it successfully working on 8.3.X. Search Google for "igo sensis 17" and ye shall find.

For those running 8.0, you will need to upgrade the software to 8.3 before loading the maps.
EDIT: This also includes the latest 3D rendering, POI, speedcams etc

    Hey Dustybum,

email Matt at Dig Options, this sounds like the same issue I was experiencing and was fixed with a software update. He can link you to the files & instructions.

email is in one of the above posts..

    cheers,
    Paul
