  • Map micro sd card

Hello crew. I'm chasing an sd card for the nav on my 150 gxl. Anyone with a 2015 or newer gxl, probably doesn't have to be a gxl, willing to reply with the model number on their map sd card so I can try track one down. Found a couple online but differing part numbers.
    Thanks in advance.

I don't understand why you would want one? surely you are not thinking of buying a new one at Toyota's extortionate price for an out of date map?

No I'm definitely not intending on lining Toyota coffers. I'm hoping to buy one off gumtree or ebay.

I have read through the backlog, especially some of your posts

JohnLynn and realise the nav is very substandard.

Upgrading the head unit is not really on the table at the minute. Even if it was, I've had a look and what head units are available, its hard to work out the quality of end fitment. I will probably go down that path eventually but only if I can find something that looks factory when installed.

For the moment though, I'm finding cards on ebay/gumtree for sub $100. Just need to make sure it's the correct card. Though it's starting to look like any number of part number cards will work

Hello all. For those that find this post some time down the track and require the numbers and dont find the help they are after.....

        86271-0E171 ~ 2921 AU/NZ
        86271-0E172 ~ 2922 AU/NZ
        86271-0E173 ~ 2923 AU/NZ
        86271-0E174 ~ 2924 AU/NZ
        86271-0E175 ~ 2925 AU/NZ

Any of these numbers i have been told will work. I got sent 0E172, and as much as the nav is pretty average, for $90 it is usable and much better than a constant display of "Map SD Card missing"
I purchased from ebay for $90, bargain i thought, compared to the $230 most sellers wanted. Cant imagine what toyota would have asked for it.
Here is the link to where i purchased

        Cheers

I was able to copy map sd card and make it work (Only for backup purpose of my own map)
          you will need
          1. latest sd card image or whole file copies.
          86271-0E177 AU-2927 (2019q4)
          86271-0E178 AU-2928 (2020q4)

          2. Any micro sd card. size brand doesn't matter. types matters class 4 HC I up to to 32gb although class 10 might work did not bother to try.
          3. change physical 16byte code on sd card with serial port reader. same as current map sd card. (changing serial number is different and won't work). and device has to be same as copied sd card. Different head unit model requires to get code from toyota Australia. if brand new sd card, have to buy sd card from dealer and ask them to program it. specifically for that unit model. $5** i think.

secondhand sd card will work as long as it is from same type of unit and model number, otherwise, plz don't bother to buy, great chance of failure.

also was able to change voice into different languages. German, French, European and Japanese, Korean only for Asian Languages.

Finally u can use Naviextras Toolbox (Toyota GCC/JTAGS, even sister model of PZQ60-00535 supported under Subaru Australia) to update it around $US 119.95 for latest map 2020q4 Australia. but u cannot just plug sd card with usb adaptor and update it. and units must be post 2012 models i think.

Can't you guys use Mirrorcast as addon and use google map? cheaper and less hassles.

I know how to add it, did it just under AUD $50 wifi mirrorcast, Thanks victoria lockdown. lol. for unit manufactured after 2012~ now. post 2002 models can possibly done as long as can install (AVN/RCA in harness, video, audio L/R 3*2, blue socket) /or 28 pin, 24 pin harness pitch $6 + requires wifi chipset/transmitter with apple airplay and android mirrorlink program from RCA) around $33 Australia stock. If requires touch screen control working then must support AV com, 1*2 pin) total 4*2 pin with tx black 12 socket.

Can you provide more detail on how to use Naviextras Toolbox (Toyota GCC/JTACS) to update without using sd card?
