I have not been teempted to pull the stereo out as I don't have any reason to, just in case I break anything. So I can't tell you much. The reverse image automatically comes on when reverse gear is selected.

The camera fits on a bracket and screws to the underside of the number plate holder. There is a camera that replaces one of the number plate lights which I have seen on ebay. I think a few PP members have that camera. I think that is the neater way to go compared to mine. You can't adjust the angle but it is at a good enough angle.

Hi richo they don't like you adjusting your GPS while driving in case you stack your rig
and than try to blame them, even my navman don't approve of any adjustments while
driving ! if they stopped those mobile user the same way while driving it would be a
lot safer out there as well that's a undeniable fact even those trees would breath
    a lot easier , regards drecked .

does anybody know if the Headunit out of a 2005 Grande will work in the 2003 Grande. The reason I ask is I have an option of purchasing one out of a car that was recently written off, fire damage but not the interior.

What I am not sure about is the connectors and the DVD unit to control the GPS

    Rolf,

It's under the driver's seat. You need to slide the driver's seat all the way forward, then access it from the back.

    Re: Toyota GPS SatNav

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I don't know where the DVD player is for the Toyota GPS.

I have a 2003 Prado the one that has no model number on the headunit face. It has a slot for CD and Tape behind the screen and a 6 stack player under the front passenger seat (don't know why it was put there and not in the space in theglove box :? )
Anyway if someone can advise me where to look as I want to upgrade the disc.

A friend has a BMW X5 and his DVD is located in the rear cargo area next to the 6 disc stacker.

    Cheers,

    Rolf
