this thread refers to a cheat for the later model GPS to allow entry of destination whilst driving. Does anyone have this cheat??

Did you read the thread????? :? It quite openly states the information you seek....

NOTE: IT IS POSSIBLY ILLEGAL TO BE ABLE TO ENTER ADDRESSES ETC WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING..!! If you run off the road don't blame me.! I except no responsibility for your stupidity (and rarely my own)

This is the procedure and it cancels out as soon as the vehicle is turned off or restarted.
      1. Press MENU
      2. Press DVD
      3. Press top left of screen, bottom left, top left, bottom left, bottom right to access hidden menu.
      4. Press and hold OVERRIDE until it beeps.
      5. Press BACK to exit.
This works on up to a 2007 that I have tried.

mmm, Yes I did read the thread:

"For those of us with the older 2003-2004 satnav, I have found a cheat to be able to enter addresses and access other options while on the move. I remember someone posting one for the later model units but it didn't work on mine. However this one does."

That cheat apparently works on the older model, I am looking for the one that was posted previously for the newer model

nup - this one didnt work either.

I read today that later models of other toyota stable vehicles not longer have this override ability - looks like I might be outta luck!

Plan B - where is the sensor/aerial located? is it that bubble on the dash in front of the driver? I'll have to try the sheetmetal routine.....

                    Thanks for the info.

That circuit is dead easy to make up.

                    I'll give it a try.

Hopefully the navigation system on the Prado works the same way as that on the Tundra. I expect it will.

                    Have you tried it yourself?

                    Tim

                        That's great news. Thanks.

Do you happen to remember which wire/s are involved?

                            Thanks.

I have a few things I want to install all at the same time because they all entail removing that part of the dash, so, when I do those, I'll try out the speed pulse mod.

Being able to use the nav and audio system while in motion will be a great help.

Audio Input in '05 Toyota Sat Nav

I would love to input audio into my '05 SatNav. I've done the camera install and seen the back of the unit. This must be an easy job but I am hoping someone may have already done the hard yards already. Any clues or links?
150 Vx D4D, Deluxe Arb bar, winch, Hayman Reece Towbar, UBP, P3 Tekonsha, 'n stuff.
"When cooking on a camp fire it must be cool enough to cook on so it needs to burn down to coals, at least in parts. It is customary to drink beer while waiting for the fire to cool down.
I recommend starting with a very big fire"-Vince.
