  • Updated my rope to 30 metres of 10mm Dyneema. Tried the Dyneema offset hawse but didn't fit. The guy there, Roger was great and returned it. Ended up with the Tigerz 11 offset. Just need some of the pinchclip which AJ120 is bringing down next week along with my 4wding first sticker.

Looks good Rob, I'm surprised you still need the pinch clip with the Tigerz11 hawse - there's no way my rope could touch with it fitted.

      • Must admit the hawse doesn't give an appealing finish. I may head to a local place that machines parts for the strike fighters and see if they can design something that fits the spot better and looks better. May even get it to say PRADOPOINT.COM (costs permitting)

No. The number plate frame needs corrective action.

What's wrong with the hawse? Can I assist with the redesign?

I was going ot do the same, but my Hawse being chrome plated put an end to that idea. Might be cheaper if you got 2 made?

                    Cheers Andrew

                      • Righto.

amts, if you can CAD a decent design I will get some quotes in aluminium.

The guys have those machines with the few hundred drill bits and machine to 1-3 micron (so accurate CADS!)

The Tigerz hawse is too skinny and should fill the whole area. Ideally it would fill to the two faces ie the top is thicker than the bottom and we can obviously use longer bolts.

Can you CAD it? I'm thinking there are a few of us Aus wide that would get it subject to price.

I'd be all over one for my air winch. I'll just hang a piece of rope out of it so people think I have the goods.

Must have been a quick visit, drove past to get some VC. meat rolls for smoko on Days road.
Had planned to call in to say G'day but you had already bolted.
Good to see the mods are still coming on.
                              Cheers Troy

                              • Good spot Troy. Put it on the spot thread and I will confirm.

A while ago Matt and I bought some sand grabbas. Now not knocking them but they failed for us and Matt's rig was not looking safe about a metre from waves in soft sand so rather than chuck them out, SWMBO took the issue up with The lovely guy that makes them. Gave us a full refund so I arranged something to replace them. A set for me and grabbed Matt a set also. Geze I look after that bugger...

                                Anyhow, replaced with these:
