Evening all,
Well I have had my GXL now for about 3 months. Vehicle was purchased to replace a Hyundai Terracan. I have not taken her off road as yet as I wanted to get a number of mods sorted prior to our Central Australia / Simpson Desert adventure in September. I can say from the limited k’s that I have done so far is that is a great vehicle and I cannot wait to get it dirty!
It is currently at ARB having some mods fitted to make this journey a whole lot better.
The stuff I have sorted for it so far.
Vehicle - 2012 Prado 150 series Turbo Diesel (Silver) 5 Sp Auto
- 5 x Cooper ST tyres swapped over by the dealer (1 more on order)
- Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform
- 6 x Speedy Blizzard Wheels

Currently being fitted:
- ARB Deluxe Winch Bar with Fog Lamps & Magnum 9000lb Winch
- IPF XS900 Driving Lights
- Safari snorkel
- GME UHF Radio / AE4705
- Kaymar Replacement Rear Step Tow Bar (Black) Twin Wheel Carrier & Work Light
- OME – 2 Inch Lift / Airbags
- Redarc Brake Controller
- Redarc Dual Battery System
- Outback Drawers with Fridge Slide / Cargo Barrier
- 2 x 12V Power Outlets in Cargo Bay (near side compartment )

My future plans for my build include:
- Steel Side Steps?? & ARB Side Rails
- Chip It + EGT Gauge
- 2.75 Inch Mandrel Exhaust
- ARB Compressor CKMA12
- ARB Air Lockers (F&R)
- Rear Door Table (To be constructed)

So, here it all begins!! I have learned from my previous build of the Terracan that research, research & more research, and vehicle choice, prior to any modification is essential and this forum has been a great source of information.
