Bought a camper trailer so I'm setting up the prado for towing... tow pro elite, anderson on the towbar and airbags in the rear. I went with medium constant load springs when I put in the lift because it's empty most of the time, but there was always some sag when fully loaded. The bags will let me sort it out when towing.

Still working out how to nicely mount the anderson plug and valves on the towbar.

I’m looking at installing the aux battery. How did you move the power steering reservoir? Piraņa have a battery tray that incorporates the aircon plumbing but I haven’t had success for the power steering .

Love your build up malloc!!! I reckon graphite is one of the best colours and all that Kaon gear you've put on, they seem like such functional and well built bits, how do you find it all?

Hey, late reply sorry, but I just bent it over carefully. It sits on an angle now but there's no issues.

Thanks, all the Kaon gear is top quality, can't fault any of it.

I've upgraded my rims, took a long time to find some that had the correct centre bore, there's not actually that many options that will fit without hub centric rings and I didn't like the idea of running them.

These are Dirty Life Canyons, 17x9, positive 10 offset, 106.1 centre bore. They fit perfectly flush with the guards with the +10. Not all 265/70 tires are rated for a 9inch rim but the Mickey Thompsons I have are fine.

There was a little rubbing on the front mud guards at full lock under flex, adjusting the caster all the way forward resolved it completely.

I'm very happy with the look

I've completed a bunch more mods, adding them here for those still playing along at home:

                    - GVM Upgrade to 3250kg. This was done through Tonkin in SA. Cost was ~$600 for the Engineer to certify the existing ARB lift, tires and wheels, then a roadworthy and it was done, nothing actually changed on the car other than fitting some temporary self-adhesive flares. The flares probably weren't necessary, poke is a couple of mm, if any, but you never know how bad a day the inspector is having. 3250kg is the max axle weight and gives me an extra 350kg of payload (my petrol is 2900 GVM stock because the engine weighs ~100kg less than the diesel).

                    - Added a Kaon under-rack table mount + folding max track mount to the rhino rack. The table rails hold a Bunnings trestle table, which is great while camping. I needed to add 10mm spaces to the rack to fit the table underneath but they're nowhere near as noticeable as you'd think. This is the product: https://www.kaon.com.au/roof-rack-table-slide-mount. I'm happy with the quality of the Kaon gear as usual.

                    - Swapped the bent side steps for some straight ones. Just stock ones I picked up locally, not steel, the stock alloy ones are nice and light and I haven't touched them since the lift + tires, even on tough tracks. It's still worth keeping the weight down even with the GVM upgrade.

                    - Swapped all the headlights and reverse lights for LEDs. I used Stedi LEDs, the tech has come a long way recently. They're much brighter than the stock globes, especially the reverse lights.

                    - Added a shower tent on the opposite side to the awning. We don't use it often but it's handy when you need it. It's mainly to have a change room on the beach.

Coming next is a permanent rear drawer and fridge setup, which was the reason for the GVM upgrade, plus a DCDC charger and permanent solar panel on the rack.

I also fabricated a bracket for the air lines, anderson and trailer plugs out of some angled aluminium. The bend radius is too tight for the air lines with "standard" brackets with the kaon underbody water tank fitted, this bracket moves the lines to the left.

The GVM part is interesting, i wonder if that's an option for me in VIC.

Nice work Forgot about these forums,I should go check my thread lol
