That looks good, does it feel much different to drive as far as the power goes due to the larger diameter. im thinking of upgrading my rubber soon aswell tossing up between your size 265/70R17 or slightly smaller 275/65R17 which isn't available in many brands as a AT but to have less of a impact on the gearing.

Honestly mate canít really a difference in the power department, but you can feel itís heavier being a light truck construction as in the steering of the car but Iíd say in a good way ?

I've been told the quarter loom is not the same, I'm sure I could re-wire as the wiring is quite simple, but it's the concept of risking the 400-500 purchase to get my hands on a pair to see.

Anecdotally, I can add that the previous owner of my car said the tyre size swap (up to a 70 on my car) "fixed" the gearing in relation to the speedo being out, I can sap GPS and speedo match quite closely in my car.

I'll keep my eye out for a wreck, when one pops up I may grab the lights to test. Wouldn't be the first time I've gone out of my way to test/prove/disprove something because it interested me.

                Otherwie, how do we learn

Went to the 4wd show today in Perth, put a deposit on a outback bull bar and a airtec snorkel, went with just the black as we went to color code but we thought we have black for now and if we want white we will get my sister who’s a painter to paint it for us

so hopefully have enough coin after Christmas to install it ! and also picked up some recovery gear

I like those snorkels, I wish my car didn't have one at all, but if I was buying one it would be that. The safari I have is ugly but it came on the car.

I usually like the safari snorkel had them on previous cars, but the tjm for the prado really looks good and follows the shape of the car and looks slick compared to the typical safari

I honestly don’t think I’ll even do any water crossings after old mate on here had issues with his headlights.. help with dust/clean air and just aesthetics make it look less soccor mum.. even though the missus does drive it for work and the school drop off .. and I have a Hyundai getz for work

Yeah I wont be doing anything that deep either and I don't have those headlights, I just dont want any chance of water ingress into carpets.

Watching 4wd action is enough for me.

I will continue to explore the loca tracks etc and I'm glad I have the winch for that.

Got the rims painted black today

makes the tires look smaller now though
