  • North Oz' 2021 Prado 150

    G'day guys,

I don't know why it's taken me so long to get on here but here I am. My name is Mark and I have been building 4WD trucks for a bit over a year now and this is my latest build. Here is a list of mods I have done so far. I am proud to say that I have done 99% of the changes on my Prado myself. I will be completely transparent with what I have and haven't done myself. If you want more information about what I have done Here are my mods/changes:

    - RhinoRack backbone and platform
    - Kaon Maxtrax bracket
    - 4 x Maxtrax
    - Stedi lightbar with platform low mount adapter
    - 4 x Stedi rock lights with backbone brackets
    - Interior button to control rock lights outside
    - RhinoRack tie down kit (for my swag)
    - 23Zero Shower Tent Awning on custom low profile batwing bracket
    - Rhino Rack Dome awning (hard to find) on custom low profile batwing bracket
    - Custom solar panel mounts on roofrack
    - Seat 6 and 7 delete
    - Seat 5 delete (behind front passenger)
    - Custom DIY false floor
    - Sound deadened rear floor
    - Custom DIY double horizontal drawer system
    - Kaon interior shelf
    - Custom Amber rock lights mounted on shelf
    - Kaon fold down table
    - 2 x XTM fridge slides
    - Mycoolman 53 Dual zone on custom risers
    - DIY pantry with foldout table
    - 12V system with removable 100AH lithium battery
    - Additional USB plug installed in dash for power to Garmin In-Reach
    - Wet suit car seat covers
    - 25 Amp Hour BCDC Redarc charger
    - Custom anderson lead with hidden input to battery system (for long stays I can connect my solar panel or fold out blanket when I buy one)
    - Dometic inverter for small appliances (camera battery and charging computers)

There is a lot here (I'm sure I have missed something) and if you have any questions, I am more than happy to answer them. On the exterior, my Prado looks stock but this has saved me a pile of money focusing on my camping experience. On this setup, I have spent about as much as I would have paid for a bullbar from ARB. I am looking at getting a tow bar next and new rims and a modest lift.
