If he was getting a payout the insurance co would take the Prado. Unless he purchased the wreck back off them which I believe is possible.Originally posted by Jasen$25k sounds like a lot if he is already getting an insurance payout.

If it's had a real dunking then the ECM will probably need replacing. There may also be residual water throughout the various wiring looms, connectors, sensors, instruments, etc. A really patient man might get it all dry and running again at a modest cost. But the average guy will pull it apart and sell all the good bits, cutting his losses.
