    The people you meet.

    We just arrived back from a great day out at Ruby Gap when we checked our phone messages and found Prado4x4 had called and wanted to catch up with us.

    well we called John back but got his message bank so we left a messageand said if he wanted to catch up tonight to come on over.

    Well he did and we spent an enjoyable evening BSing an having a couple of ales. The upshot is that we are going to meet up tomorrow and do the Owens Springs reserve track.

    Nothing difficult in the Owen Springs track but it should be a good day out

    I had the opportunity of meeting Mansour, pradopoint member from Dubai, UAE on a recent trip. Mansour, thanks for taking the time to meet and for the lovely coffee, boy the size of those mugs, they certainly don't look like a regular size.

          Hey Dustie, I totally missed this when you posted it but thanks for doing so. It is good to put a face to a name that I have spent many a time conversing with through PM's etc. Have not seen Mansour around much lately though I hope he still visits the forum.

            Sorry mav... but didn't really have time. I was fortunate that my travels just happened to cross paths with Nathan. It was fly in/fly out, so I didn't have my car with me... although I did have a GX Prado to get around in while there

              Just talking to my neighbour whom I know owns a Caravan business who is also an outlet for an aussie camper trailer with a good reputation. Was speaking to him about his business' camper trailers (due to my increasing interest in acquiring one :wink: ) to learn he is actually a joint owner of the company. Says he'll do a great deal if I'm interest... I'm interested :!: :!: :!: 8)

                  Confirmed my booking for the PP GTG stopover at Yulara and the email confirmation came back with personal note from the Manager... low and behold she is an old friend whom I haven't spoken to in about 10 years. It's a small world.

                    Was fortunate to briefly catch up with Johnv in Darwin on Friday arvo. John has just travelled the Oodnadatta Track towing a Challenge Camper Trailer, so as I am about to do the same, it was a great opportunity to meet a fellow Pradopointer and also pick up a few tips about 'the Track' and to see how the camper trailer went.

                    Nice meeting you John, and thanks for making the time (Unfortunately I didn't have much time to talk a little more - as my family and I were about to head out to Litchfield National Park for a couple of nights).

                          Caught up with Adams Prado on his round OZ junket when he was in perth a couple of weeks ago

                          Pity i can catch up with a guy from melbourne on the other side of the country but the perth PP's are to lazy to come out for company sponsored beer :shock:

                            I read alot of posts and I am sure there was no posts mentioning company sponsered beers being donated to the Perth PP's , if that was the case I am sure I would have made an effort for the beer's oh yes and a chat

                              Got the chance to meet up with Schaffer at Orroroo today while he was on his way up to the Bendleby Ranges for the long weekend. Nice to meet you Nick. Hopefully we'll get the chance to spend some more time together next time and also give the Prado's a bit a run in the wild too.
