I saw one the other day that made me chuckle: ITSA BMW

Was in Perth last week - boy they are personalised plates crazy over there!

We've a couple of euro cars in the garage, the SA Reg dept finally released their euro plates recently. Only catch is that there is a yearly fee attached, and you don't even get to choose your own number. Should be a real hit. (not) Other states have a number reservation system and a one-off fee.

Personalised plates only cost about $140 in the NT, whatever the combination of numbers/letters (maximum of 7).

I guessed as much - when I was last in Alice Springs and wondered why nearly everybody had personalised plates!

The PNP that tickled my fancy was on a neat little Beemer being driven by a lovely blonde and it simply said "KEPT".

Shame up here in the 'Smart State' (maybe I should add that slogan to the 'things that tick you off section') doesn't allow you to mix up letters and numbers.....

You can mix numbers and letters in QLD, but to get that plate, it will cost $2500

Believe it or not, just went to pick up No.1 son from soccer and saw a white Mazda being driven by a young male with the number plate MAZDAB8.

Strangely, the driver had well developed biceps, well, at least on the right arm which was hanging out the window. :shock:

We've all seen those vehicle registration plates that intrigue, amuse and get your brain working. For example, BlackPradoChick recently had trouble with people working out her number plate PR4DO.

So I thought it may be interesting for PPointers to post details or photos of any strange, interesting, cryptic or hilarious personalised number plates that they might have seen. Must be real number plates actually sighted on a vehicle, not just make-believe ones.
