    Slightly newer updates: https://www.carsales.com.au/editoria...october-125486
    and

    and

The last article might not be for the Australian market, but I am hoping that these safety features are included.

so not just a software tweak - real hardware upgrades ( turbo) amongst others

the real wait is still for the big boy action in the Cruiser

Hmm.. seems like I bought my car 2 years too early. I would like the 150kw / 500nm output in my 2019 as well, better look into some tuning.

Big question will be if they have the DPF sorted now, or if the changes result in problems. Hopefully not!

too early to tell, but there is a specific DPF manual included that covers all Toyota models (Hilux etc), and has separate sections for Prado produced before August 2020 and after; so they have made changes to it, just not sure yet if it will fix the issues.

Interesting that the owners manual now specifies a GCM that is 500 kgs less compared to the earlier model years, but this reduction on GCM can be restored with the use of a weight distribution hitch.

A weight distribution hitch will not increase your GCM, it merely redistributes the weight a little more evenly across the axles of the tow tug.

The owners manual refers to a "weight carrying hitch".

Nowhere in the current owners manual does it state that you are permitted to exceed a gross combined weight of 5490kg and Toyota would need to issue an amendment to the manual to change the GCM limit

I am still waiting on Toyota to investigate this and get back to me https://www.pradopoint.com.au/forum/...gcm-limitation
