Who is at the Birdsville races?

Hello fellow PPers,

With all the 4WDs here at Birdsville for the races this Saturday , I got to thinking that there must be at least one other PradoPointer in the vicinity. Is there anybody out there?? Have been madly searching for that elusive (sticker) photo and would love to find another one around here. Pearlie is here in all her glory, about to tackle BIG RED tomorrow. Am on channel 18, staying down by the Diamentina River, bush camping.
Anyway, will be on the look out. Hope to see someone within the week.

Didn't see any PP stickers, but plenty of Prados there..

Got out Friday before the big rains came.. got very soggy at Windorah on the way back to Rocky.
They had only 30mm on Friday but it was enough to close the roads in and out of there.

They are running the Birdsville (Burrsville, ouch :!: ) cup on Tuesday for those souls who didn't make it out. The roads are still closed north, south and east. Australia looks great wet, just a nuisance trying to get around in it.

Had fun going up Big Red, even though there was a 15km detour to get there. You could see little red and the track around but couldn't get there because of the lake at the start of the track.

hey pearlie i arrived 6.30pm friday arvo as everyone was comming out im going to post a trip report. it was a spur of the moment trip and what a ball tearer it was.

Yes I was there. In the caravan park on the clay pan that flooded, as did everywhere. Think my sticker was covered in mud and dust though haha. I had an eye out but failed in the spotting too. We were there till tuesday, did you head north to Bedourie? Drive into a hole at the water crossing? hopefully you don't know about it but saw a few casualties from it
