So the 29th is my 21st birthday and I'd like to spend it the same way any Prado nut would, on the beaten track with fellow Prado owners. The plan is to explore some new and some familiar tracks in Lidsdale State Forest. I hope we can visit the infamous Mt Walker while we're at it. I also need to confirm someone as a navigator for the day (GH4wd or glen_ep?).

Track difficulty: The tracks are easy-medium with some entirely optional hard-core stuff. There are several water crossings but nothing above the wheel nuts. All achievable in a stock standard Prados. **Refer to update below for further developments**
***MEETING PLACE CHANGED***
Meeting at: Richmond train station car park, Paget Street via Windsor Street. at 8:00am,
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?daddr...sz=19&t=m&z=18
departing around 8:15 am.
Finishing time will be around 3:30 to 4pm.
From Richmond we will take Bells line of road to Lithgow and then take the Great Western Hwy to the entrance of the state forest. Those from outside of Sydney may want to meet us somewhere along the way.
Bring: Prado, morning tea, lunch, water/drinks, camera, UHF radio, air compressor/recovery gear if you have it, sense of adventure
I have a couple of hand held UHF radios I can lend for those who don't have one.
UHF channel 28 This is to avoid the interference from the mines in the area who use ch.16
Weather Forecast Constantly Updated
Temp: 10-23°C
70% chance of 1-5mm of rain.
Late shower.
Post up or PM me if you have any queries or wish to attend.
***FURTHER UPDATE*** Due to the level of interest and turning space constraints on some of the tracks, we may need to run two separate convoys depending on final attendance numbers. One convoy could stick to easy/medium grade tracks while the other convoy goes looking for diff-breaker trails.
***MORE UPDATE***
glen_ep has kindly offered to lead the diff-breaker convoy. JeffH has also kindly offered to lead another convoy through some easy/medium grade tracks. Unless every one wants diff breaker action that is, in which case we'll run two concurrent diff breaker convoys.
I, and I'm guessing several other PP'ers will, want to attempt the upper section of Mt Walker. While its not every ones cup of tea, I'm sure every one will want to watch the nutters climb Mt Walker. So we will probably head there early on in the day and depending on the time afterwards, head to one of the camp sites along the Cox River. After lunch we may split up into convoys to explore.
We'll fine tune the order of events closer to (or likely on) the day.
