Mark me down for a Saturday Richo after the weekend of the 7th and 8th July, I am in keen for a run.

Okey Dokey folks my thoughts are for a drive starting at Wallers Road doing that and depending on the time either some gravel roads or looking for some fun as Fabes did.
Whose for Saturday or Sunday? Decision will be made tomorrow night so log your thoughts majority rules.
Express your interest.
See us on the tracks, Richo.

Looking at motion x if you continue along Gatton esk rd and turn left onto millers rd you can enter the lockyer state forest from there. We were on that track from the other end and as it was getting late and didn't know where we were in relation to the end of the track turned back around. It was a nice drive with a few creek crossings that wernt deep when we went through but good scenery along the way. I wish I had an iPad with inbuilt gps instead of this iPad 1. Might have to invest in one of those adapters so I can use it off road.
Will keep an eye out for the trip post as I too would like to meet/join you guys.
Plainlands is a good meeting spot if coming from Brisbane, Good breaky too.

Thanks for that..... just checked the spelling of the Road I went down..... It's "Weller Rd" which is along way from your Waller Rd. The one I went on is closer to the Gus Beutels Lookout. The T/O to Weller Rd is off Seventeen Mile Rd just down the road from the Lookout.
Weller Rd T/O located at:
27° 22.329'S
152° 10.865'E

They had been there for 2 hours trying to get old mate out, they had asked a farmer adjoining the property for the loan of his tractor but they ended up getting him out with the 2 fourbys snatching at the same time...... Anyways back to trying to get you to the spot.... This is how we got there from Brisbane
We took the Gatton turn off went over the bridge on Gatton esk road, Left onto orchard rd, left onto Redbank creek rd, Right onto adare rd, left onto ranger Rd, left onto Wallers rd, left onto alvisio road when it crosses over forestry rd turns to dirt at which point you are now on wallers rd go doen that dirt rd for about a kilometer or so and you know your there when a 30 degree hill is staring at you asking you to put your vehicle into low range. Have fun!!!
Think these are the way points

Did U guys go through a Closed steel Gate while travelling on this Road? I went down this road from the lookout end and came across a closed (unlocked through) steel gate with no signs or anything. My GPS said it's gazzetted road but I wasn't that sure.....
If u did, where did u enter that road from the other end?? Would love to get back up there for a bit more exploring around the place
Oh BTW.... Some Cool Pics too

Yeah we ended up going, it is well worth the drive I'm keen on expiring the locker forest more. Had a massive tripod moment when my right steer tyre went in a rut that all the heavy rain in the area had produced. Came so close to rolling it that it not funny im 6 foot and could stand under the prado, Pictures tell a thousand words and I'm waiting on them from a friend who took the camera and will post once received.
Rob mc the track comes out down the road about 500m or so from Gus beetles lookout. We seen the track in your photos as we stopped there for a late lunch. Have to tee up a time to do a trip out there again.
The tripod moment has definitely bought plans forward to replace the Grandcraps was surprised at just how quick she let go had pressed down to 22 psi.
