Problem hooking up reversing light on rear bar

Hi all,

I have just installed a Kaymar rear bar, and hooked up the lights to the trailer wiring loom as recommended in the instructions. When I tapped into the black wire on the trailer wiring loom, the revers lights in the bar turn on even though the car is off. I have not turned the ignition on at all, even to accessories. All other lights on the rear bar work as expected, just not the reversing light. Anyone got any ideas?
