I have drawn up a chart that fits neatly in the spare slot on your prado 150 visor but for some reason cant upload it as the file size is 36kb ....wanted to share it so people can have a reminder.

    Can anyone help?

I don't think you can upload a file to Pradopoint. Create a dropbox or box account and upload the file to that. Then provide a link here.

Here you go guys, your very own cut out and keep OEM style UHF chart that 'should' fit perfectly into the spare slot in your sunvisor in your 150 (can do 90 and 120 if i get dimensions)

enjoy! (and let me know if it doesnt work

Hi all, Just wondering about the GME AE4705 aerial if anyone has one. Particularly about how it moves on corrugated roads. Looking to mount one about 10cm from a AT6db (gme mobile phone antenna). I've had issues with my gme AE4018K swinging back and forth by about 25cm either side (at the base), therefore hitting any antenna near it. The mobile phone antenna doesn't move much at all on. My question is does the 4705 move much under corrugations? Otherwise what is the best one to get for that?

They move a bit but not as bad as a lot of other aerials. Have a look here http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post475222 and check out my video on varying degrees of corrugated roads to see how they go.

                  Cheers Andrew

I've been running the 4705 on my ARB bar for 6 years without any issues. It moves slightly and bends sufficiently for most encounters with branches etc. Just don't slam into the trees or you can fracture the fibreglass pole as happened to my first 4705 on my old Prado.

Just replaced one of mine after smashing it, but given a couple of tracks I have done and the pounding it took I can't complain.

                      Cheers Andrew

Thanks for the help guys. I was thinking about mounting the other aerial a little bit away from the other but the wing areas of the ARB bar angle up slightly so the 2 aerials wont be parallel. Pedantic, I know.

You can get the antenna in different colours - mine is grey to match the bar.

Aerial selection becomes a bit of moot point for me, as I have a GME TX3800 25watt. Only have a cheap Uniden aerial.

Legalities aside, a decent antenna is always going to be more beneficial than putting out 25 watts. No point putting out a strong signal if you can't receive anything back because of a crappy antenna setup
