If you want a grunty AND reliable 3l engine then rebuild the d4d but with forged or 110 series pistons...then you can ramp up boost/fuel etc and start...

apparently its the output seal on the t box... is this an easy replace jobbie? i.e the t box doesnt need to come out for it?

I think mine has just started doing this too...
Its not the pads - i checked and cleaned them. Plenty of pad, no rust or foriegn material....

i went to 275s and noticed quite a dramatic drop in performance and increase in fuel. i had the gx 245s beforehand on an AT pattern. The 275s are Cooper...
