arb alloy roof rack height problem

hi ,
can anyone please tell me the exact measurement from the top of a 120 series to the top of an arb alloy rack? as i have a differnt lift spec i cant seem to see an answer on this forum ,
i have just ordered one and am worried that the car wont fit in our garage , cheers marty

A std 120 is 1905mm so how high is the roof rack.

hi thanks ,
the height of my car changes so i just wanted someone to measure the height of the rack itself ,
i found one in a car park today and measured it , it was 230 mm from the sill to the top , 35 mm too high for my garage ...... bugger !
rang arb today and cancelled the order .
my first post on this forum so hello to everyone and keep up the good stuff :mrgreen:

My truck is in Brown Davis' workshop so I couldn't measure the height of the ARB rack. However before I bought the ARB rack, saw a very low profile alloy rack that looked like a great design at Opposite Lock. Minister for Finance didn't like it so ended up with the ARB. Looked like a good strong rack though and price was similar to ARB

If you have a height problem, try the Rhino Pioneer platform rack.
Get the 3-bar heavy duty roofrack from Toyota (they are much cheaper than Rhino) and use the legs to mount the Pioneer rack.

I'm happy to take it off your hands if it is a problem

We have a Rhino alloy tray on Rhino Aero bars and this must be fitted to the vehicle after I have driven out of the carport. Lesson learnt there is that you need about a 11' rollerdoor. I also have the UHF aerila mounted to the roof bars so need clearance for that. Can't fit the shovel holders of shovel in the carport and forget fitting an anwing, well at least at my joint. Everything is back it out and pack it up.

im glad now i didnt buy it as there seems to be more options out there .
i really like the look of the arb bar though so might have to move house ,
seems strange though that arb couldnt give me any measurement of the rack in the first place ?

I hope you are considering garage height for the new property purchase???

I must admit, I'm trying to not fit bulky things on the roof because the misses will forget, drive into a city carpark one day and do some extensive damage!
