There is a very large plug to the left of the air cond controls that requires a bolt to be tightened for the connector to work. Check that one.

I was trying to test the unit without that screw being tightened.
As soon as I started to tighten it up, the CD Stacker started doing its bit and the clock came straight back on
Thanks for the pointer (I only spent about an hour and a half checking all wiring looms and fuses!!)

Hi again guys,
So the adapter for no apparent reason has just stopped working.
I've emailed caripod and he's suggested the usual power cycle routine - but this hasn't worked. They've also suggested not having the cables into the adapter done up too tightly, this hasn't worked either.
Has anyone else had a similar issue?
Cheers

Hi Pancho,
Do you have a link to where you bought it? Do you know if where you got it from have one compatible with the factory sat nav?.
I contacted caripodcables.com and have been told they are no longer stocking the adapter. Was hoping to get ipod/mp3 without going to the expense of replacing the whole unit.
Cheers,

Hey Gramps,
Have a look at Cushie Audio, they have one that says it's for android devices. Might be worth talking to them and seeing if it has the functions your after.

Has anyone replaced/modified one of the spare spaces under the ashtray to a 3.5mm headphone socket? I have seen it done for UHF handset plugs and am interested in doing something similar so when we're not using the MP3 player there isn't cables laying around and it looks a bit neater.Paul
