So I guess I, like so many others with a pale coloured ga wanting to disguise a dark hole, are left wanting a solution.
PS Craig, I don't feel bleaching is the answer here.Bitumen: A blatant waste of taxpayers money!

if you could a section that looks a bit like an S thats leaning over [crude explanation, hope you get it] that has top part of S fitted up underneath the body and the next section hangs down onto the bar and the last section sits flat back out on the bar it will allow the flex as only piece fitted is at top and rest hangs down like a curtain onto the bar not filling the space, just covering it. just need to find something and a way to fix it. i havent been worried about it, so unless i stumble onto a piece of suitable material i wont be worried about it--> Macarthur District 4WD Club Member <--

OMG.
why aren't you guys taking this problem seriously.
Nicho and I have a genuine problem. I think the answer is not to "fill the gap" but merely run something with a solid appearance along the body where the holes are. This will give a cleaner finish. If rubber is the answer which I dont think it is, then it should be adhesive and VERY thin to avoid a real rubbing issue.
Ok now I have been serious I would like to add "Craig! keep your thumbs away from my holes and gaps!!!!!! And DO NOT refer to my gap as "excessive" Its a typical gap and my hole is no bigger than anyone eles for that matter. Your insinuations are making me feel cheap and violated! It is not like I am asking anyone to fill my gap you know.Bitumen: A blatant waste of taxpayers money!

It must be said that while i am very happy with my gap (i actually dont mind the gaping hole one little bit) but my sahara bar has STILL rubbed and is now rusting where it has rubbed. C@*tz!! BAck to ARB again. Stuffed my suspension, drawers and now the bar, which is probably all due to the suspension.. Useless!!

The solution I would ideally like is some sort of tape that finishes the metal work with all the holes. The gap will be there and not interferred with but the finish in the gap will look pretty.
So if anyone can assist me in dressing my gap that would be great and then I can post some photos of my gap without offending anyone.Bitumen: A blatant waste of taxpayers money!

I have had no issues using door rubber for cars. It has been in place for nearly 2 years. I can still run my finger between the body and bull-bar as the rubber compresses. There are no squeaks or stones getting caught. There has been no paint rubbed off.Winston.

They lit up "like the deathstar" and promptly moved over..
so all in all pretty impressed!!!
Ive done some travels since then and found the spread generated by two pencil beams to be pretty good at picking up roos on the side of the road at about 100+ metres...in the end i just couldn't justify the cost of the Hid's

I wish my gap was that big.. Unfortunately when my bar was fitted from new, they mounted it a touch too high, so when i am going over rough roads it flexes and hits the bottom of the ront guards / flares.
Fairly certain this has contributed to the inner guards cracking and splitting away from the firewall
Both toyota and ARB dont want to know about it and im not going back to Victoria to get it looked at.
Be happy with your gap!
